Somatic therapy recognizes that trauma and stress don’t just live in the mind—they’re stored in the body. You may feel disconnected from yourself, constantly on edge, or physically stuck in tension you can’t explain. Somatic work can help.

This approach integrates body-based awareness with talk therapy to support nervous system regulation and emotional processing.

Somatic therapy may include:

  • Learning to recognize where emotions show up in your body

  • Using breath, grounding, and movement to shift stuck energy

  • Exploring patterns of dissociation or chronic tension

  • Reconnecting with a sense of safety in your own body
